 week 10! I probably missed a week or two but lets continue and say this is week 10, last week before thanksgiving break, we had last senior critique yesterday for the semester. I am a little far behind than I would like to be, I wanted to have a few new pieces to show for my critique than I had ready. I have some new ideas that I am excited about to work on after break and for next semester for the final show in may. And I am working on finishing a few pieces for the demuth show here in a few weeks as well. I applied to a bunch of artist residencies for after graduation so hopefully one of those works out, it would be a nice transition from school not having to give up making art to make time to work. I'm not excited about break since I want to keep working on my new ideas but if I get them all written down maybe I will be able to source the materials I need to get right back into working when we get back. We finally have a show poster for the demuth show, I wasn't planning on

 week 9! This week was crazy busy and I got a lot done and still have a lot to do, seems like a rush now to finish things before December which is next month already, feels like just yesterday was the first day back. Anyways I applied for an internship at the fabric workshop for the summer. I finished my one large portrait collage, and have another in the works. As well as a new poster design in the works for something I enjoy or brings me joy. As well we finally decided on a poster and name for the Demuth show!! I have to decide what piece to put in and need to figure out frames for a few of my pieces as well.

 week 8! This week I was super busy in the print shop working on my final cmyk prints for my insecurities series, I think I am gonna take a break from screen printing for a while it's killing my feet and back lol. I also shared for the midterm critique and I think it went really well the visiting artist Leah was there and gave some good feedback. I finally got to show my food sculptures I made a while ago, I now have to start thinking about how to set up all my things for the senior show and what piece I want to put in the demuth show. I was thinking my masks but now I think maybe the cmyk's or even the felt portrait since it is more of a stand alone piece I am not sure. 

 This week went by fast with break taking up most of it, I still managed to get all of my screen prints done even though they took forever because of some hold ups and mistakes. I might still add to them but overall I'm proud I got so many done in a short time. I also made more masks and have an idea for another big drawing piece. 

 This week I worked on getting the other animal masks covered with wire and paper and started to paint some of them. I've had to wait to keep working on my prints so I have been working on my care bear rug and a new large scale drawing, I'm unsure of where it is going yet but I am excited about it.

This week I finished one of my cmyk prints for my series entitled “insecurities” I am making about five to six different prints for this series and I am excited about how this first one turned out, I need to figure out a way to get the poems to show up on them better though. I also am working on the wire under structure for the animal masks and have two done so far. I also have a new rug piece in the works next.
